Legendary Intracoastal Revival
Built in 1937 and held by the same family for three generations, this waterfront home on Miami’s iconic Pine Tree Drive has long been a backdrop for memory, music, and multigenerational life. The homeowner’s grandfather – an esteemed developer responsible for many of the city’s architectural landmarks – originally built the house. While a recent renovation restored its bones, the interiors remained incomplete. Laure Nell Interiors was brought in to finish the story.
Inspired by the golden age of Art Deco Miami, the design honors the home’s layered history while embracing a vibrant, contemporary lifestyle. From bespoke wallcoverings and silk drapery to sculptural lighting and curated furnishings, every element was selected for both elegance and ease. The interiors balance history and modernity, infusing the home with a tactile palette of velvet, silk, mural wallpaper, ceramics, custom pieces, and commissioned European art.
Highlights include a Florida room reimagined as an acoustically engineered listening lounge – designed for entertaining and enjoying the homeowner’s extensive record collection. The dining room is an immersive, mural-wrapped jewel box created for intimate gatherings. The living room is a light-filled social hub that frames sweeping intracoastal views, while the primary bedroom offers a serene retreat inspired by yacht design.
The result is a home that exudes lived-in luxury- layered, personal, and full of soul.
